It is indeed all Filipino's proud and honor to win an old medal from our athletes for the Ice Hockey Team area. Last August 31, I was one with the nation in celebration with the young ice hockey team and two seasoned figure skaters who proudly displayed the Philippines colors across Malaysia's skating rink in the just concluded 29th Southeast Asian Games.
The Ice Hockey Team started off in 2008 as a community of pure hockey enthusiasts at the rinks of SM Skating. They soon began to participate in regional open tournaments and gained the recognition of the International Ice Hockey Federation.
Coached by Daniel Brodan, SM Skating's Ice Hockey Team Athletes is composed of:
Jan Aro Regencia
Jose Inigo Cadiz
Lenard Rigel II Lancero
Miguel Alfonso Relampagos

The Philippine National Ice Hockey Tem took home the inaugural gold, becoming the first team to win in the newly-introduced winter sport in the SEA Games. Adding to the successful campaign of Filipino ice athletes in the SEA Games were 2014 Winter Olympian Michael Christian Martinez who took home the silver medal in the men's individual figure skating event, and Alisson Perticheto who settled for a bronze in the women's individual figure skating event.
SM Lifestyle Entertainment Inc. is the only company in the country to carry Olympic-size ice skating rinks. SM Skating continuously supports the national ice athletes and is proud to be part of their journey towards global success.
